“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Proverbs 22:6

In today’s world, the job of the Christian parent to protect, guide and train children may seem harder than ever. Entertainment has become a war zone for our children. It’s up to us to be their frontline of defense and help them continue to learn about God, walk in the way of Christ, and become effective tools in God’s Kingdom. It’s important to remember that while the world’s version of entertainment many times is not conducive to building a foundation of faith in Jesus and God’s truth, there are many options to choose from that will support a Biblical worldview. Reading doesn’t have to be reserved for the Bible! We can still help our children’s imaginations soar with plenty of stories, rich with Godly values and morals intertwined with exciting themes and plots. I hope you’ll find that this page does just that!

My disclaimer is that I have not read every single one of these books on the list below. However, each of these books passed my own rigorous test of review and I would buy them for my children to read. Having said that, you are your child’s parent, so I caution you to ultimately use your own judgment and discernment. If you have a list of recommended reading that will help support a Biblical worldview for the Christian family which you would like to share with me to possibly add to this list, please feel free to contact me at letschat@rhiannasanford.com with “recommended reading” in the subject line.

Lastly, with the exception of my book featured at the bottom of this page, I purposely haven’t linked any of the books below to any particular book market so that you can decide how you’d like to best support the authors and not feel obligated to shop at any of the more mainstream book retailers.
